Cerro Alto-San Luis Mountain otherwise known as Madonna Mountain is located in the center of town and offers several hiking and mountain biking options for the entire family. Parking is located at the base of the mountain by the HWY 101 and Higuera St on/off ramp heading south. Look for the M on the mountain which stands for Mission School not Madonna.

Bob Jones City to Sea trail- Located in the Avila Beach Valley. Perfect for the entire family. The paved trail departs from a park and ride lot on Ontario Road near the 101 Freeway. Bikes, roller bladders, strollers, kids and adults of sizes and ages can be found enjoying this trail. Visiting the elephant seals is free and worth the drive especially during birthing and mating season. On the drive up you will be able to view Hearst Castle from the highway and potentially see our local heard of Zebras that graze along the route. Take a picnic lunch or stop at one of the great town along the way for a fun meal.
